In 2009, The Bunnies finished 10th.
The South Sydney Rabbitohs draw for 2010.
In 2010, the Bunnies will…
…show their long suffering fans some return on the fans’ heavy emotional investment. And with the forward pack the Bunnies have this season, there is going to be plenty of room for Sandow and Sutton to do their stuff. There are no excuses for not making the eight.
Souths have done the right thing with only a few but astute purchases. They weren’t far off the pace last season but consistency was their biggest issue. And will be again this year. Sandow and Sutton have all the talent but they have trouble stringing more than a few good games together. Sandow especially needs to step up this show and show some maturity. Everyone now and again he does something he shouldn’t and it costs Souths. An example was in the Charity Shield when Sandow left the line to put on a big hit, missed, and it cost Souths a try. Souths won’t be able to afford those errors.
Wesser comes back from injury which will help the Bun Buns campaign. But the backline still looks a little weak compared to the other contenders. Even with forward superiority, the Bunnies may not lack the fire power out wide to take full toll of any good field position.
Souths don’t have the squad or consistency yet to win a premiership this year. But their fans should enjoy a season where the Bunnies live up to their potential and make the eight. And such a season may get them closer to greater glory.

Chrissy’s got a habit of doing that however I’ve seen one connect and it’s not a pretty sight.
Only time will tell with the Buns. They’re either turning up or giving in and I firmly hope it’s the former of these – I’d dearly love to see them not only make the eight but get to (hmmmm) the semi’s???
Dream-on Bis!
