In 2009, The Storm will…

…will be a contender again. The Storm showed last year that all you need to do is finish in the top four to win the comp. In fact, I remember them not being that impressive for a while during the later half of the season. But that doesn’t really matter once the finals are underway.

The key for The Storm to make the grand final for the fifth year in a row is having their key players last the season. Smith, Inglis and Slater will have a heavy representative schedule. Any injury to these players (and Cronk) during the last part of the season could derail The Storm.

But if luck does grace them then The Storm will be one of the teams to beat again.
