YAY!!!!!! We’re back on the air!
Hello Shaun & all.
Still a little moist about LT joining the Tiges but it’s thrown a rock in my planned support this year – I was going to go full on for Souths because of DT…. now I’m in that brackish Bunnies / Tigers territory that I’ve been in since moving to Leichhardt in 1995.
I’m going to pop-off to Redfern for sure this weekend if you fancy a blast Shaun – still not sure how I’ll go at footy now I’m off the sauce. I’m going to take brother Billy, Bruce and Gnasher.
Let’s do the double header on the 27th OK?
Gotta go – kids are driving me mad.

Note that I’ve heard that Redfern is a sell out. The double header sounds good. Due to cricket commitments, I’ll only make the Eels game. But give me numbers and I’ll organise tickets. There is reserved seating for the game ($25).
Btw, the double header will mark the end of my alcohol ban. I just can’t handle the Central Coast Leagues club sober.

Last year the lovely Nate Miles revealed that he saw absolutely nothing wrong with his motion in a hotel corridor. In his defence he stated that he was not under curfew, was ‘allowed’ by his club to be drinking that night and it could happen to anybody.
This year, Brett Stewart is at it again. When caught sexually assaulting a mans tenage daughter in front of her house, all be it drunk, his response was “Don’t you know who I am?”.
Not only is this big-noting himself and quite apart from the fact that he’s a first grade player with a responsibility to set a good example, he is seeming to suggest that the father would accept his actions as long as he (the father) understood that he was a famous footballer.
I’m not even going to go into the events surrounding the fall from grace of the great Matthew Johns but the fact of the matter is that players need to realise that they are simply another member of society when they’re not on the pitch. If anything they need help finding ways of becoming better than the man on the street rather than betraying their ‘meat-head’ backgrounds.
As Forrest would say : “meat-head is as meat-head does”
