Where Willie Play?
The Daily Telegraph are reporting that Willie Mason is looking at the Cowboys after Manly have decided against gambling on Willie.

If I was a Cowboys fan I’d be doing whatever I can to prevent this. Sure there might be one game now again when their fire but based on the past few seasons, a forward pack with Mason and Webb would not trouble may sides.

Willie Mason had the potential to be one of the greatest second rowers the game has seen. But only his ego was up for it. His inconsistency on and off the field meant he couldn’t live up to his hype and his talent has been sadly wasted.

Tigers may win the Lote-ry
After reports that Lote Tuqiri may stay in English rugby comes word that he may indeed be returning to the NRL.

If Lote does play for the Tigers, to not make the eight will be a major disappointment for the Tigers.

NRL Memberships
One of the few things the AFL has over the NRL is the culture of club membership. The NRL has a long way to go to catch up to the AFL but all the clubs are putting a lot in promoting memberships now. You can find out what options your club has at the NRL Membership page.

Most clubs have a good range of packages for ticketed and non-ticketed members. If you love your club then join up.

I’ve decided due to certain uncertainties to go for a non-ticketed Eels membership. I will get to the games at Gosford this year and to some Sydney games but just couldn’t commit to regular attendance at Eels’ games.

And from the NRL website, the pic below shows how teams are doing this year compared with last year’s membership numbers. I do believe the figures are a few weeks old and that some clubs are doing even better that the figures below.
