Heads up on an interesting doco on SBS tomorrow (Wednesday July 18th). Footy – the La Perouse Way is about the La Perouse Panthers Rugby League team.

The documentary, Footy the La-Perouse Way shows the journey of the La Perouse Aboriginal community, whose beginnings were marked by racial division and the suffering it brought, and its embracing of football as a starting point to put these historic differences behind it. The documentary follows the La Perouse Panthers Football Club in its 2005 pilgrimage through the South Sydney Junior Rugby League competition.
