NSW restore some pride

July 4th, 2007 by Shaun · 3 Comments

Alas, for good reasons I did not get a chance to live blog Origin III. And what a game. A gallant QLD suffering a horrible injury toll did all they could to hold NSW back. But eventually, something had to give and NSW ran out winners 18-4.

The fact that both Hayne and El Masri (who had a great debut) scored tries showed that NSW played to their strengths.

Enjoy the series win you north of the border types. It will be a different story next year.

It will be different next year; next year we’ll make sure we win the third game as well as the other two :-P

NSW deserved to win. The coach of NSW has been unfairly criticised. In all three games there wasn’t much between the teams.

It had everything, end-to-end footie, controversial calls, razzle-dazzle, injuries and a broo-ha-ha!

It also had, more importantly, the correct result.

Well done Graham, well done Hazem, well done Noddy (as much as it pains me).

By far the most enjoyable SOO I’ve seen in years.
