Well, whaddya know. The Wallabies have beaten the All-Blacks in Melbourne, 20 to 15. See, all Australian rugby needed was John O’Neill back and things are looking up.
But one win does not a winter of contentment make. Over a Troppo, Chris reckons the Wallabies are back but I shall remain skeptical. I’d like to see them beat the Boks and then New Zealand at home. Then I’d consider the Wallabies are chance for the World Cup.
A long way to go before the Wallabies Paris. Some consistently good rugby is needed before the Wallabies can lay any claim to being a threat.

But Amanda, now that we have beaten the Kiwis, the World Cup is ours or so I am lead to believe.

I watched this until Australia played the worst I have seen against Singapore.
New Zealand were poor and really didn’t look like losing. How they did is beyond me.
They did not look on top of their game yet should have scored at least two easy tries in the time I was watching.
Rugby Union is now in the same shape football was all those moons ago.
few decent players and a good game every so often deceiving for all the fans.

I get the feeling NZ were suffering from jet lag and just didn’t have the energy late in the 2nd half to hold the Aussie’s back.
Spot on in the last paragraph. A lot of the reaction seems to be that we are now going to win the World Cup and a new era for Australian rugby has dawned.

Lay off Arnie’s ‘roos, Homer. I’d like to see you do 90 minutes in 30+ Celsius after a week’s flat-out training in same! Remember how crap we were against lowly Leichtenstein last year?
