Monday’s Expert, Round 5 AFL tipping

April 30th, 2007 by Five · No Comments

(82%) Bombers (11.13 79) Magpies (12.23 95) (18%)
(85%) Power (14.12 96) Saints (6.7 43) (15%)
(6%) Tigers (11.10 76) Eagles (14.15 99) (94%)
(35%) Blues (18.16 124) Lions (21.10 136) (65%)
(97%) Swans (17.7 109) Demons (8.12 60) (3%)
(35%) Hawks (13.15 93) Bulldogs (16.14 110) (65%)
(87%) Cats (15.12 102) Kangaroos (18.10 118) (12%)
(54%) Dockers (7.16 58) Crows (8.9 57) (46%)

Punters tipped six (ie. got the Bombers and Cats wrong) and I also tipped six, picking the Hawkes and the Bombers wrong. Anyway, I came second in the week’s tipping in my comp, so I’m chuffed.

The round was notable for the Dockers’ victory, and for the way Port smashed St Kilda. The achievement award must go to the Tigers, who held up against a vastly stronger side. The Blues also put in a good performance, despite their loss. Of course, the upset by the Kangas and the Pies downing of the Bombers (it hurt to say that) were interesting matches. The Kangas win wasn’t an upset if you consider the Kangas record at Skilled Stadium, but it clearly upset the Punters.
