Some people say that the current Ashes series is crap. I don’t agree. Watching the Poms get smashed by the Aussies is, by definition, delightful. Who cares if England barely scores a run in the entire series?
That’s what the Ashes are for.
Rafe, methinks epic verse is the appropriate epic form to celebrate this routing.

This is the greatest load of old cobblers.
The greatest ashes was in 2005.
Two even sides and 5 good pitches.
It is an absolute disgrace that the poms have faster and bouncier pitches which are therefore better cricket pitches than we do.
Moreover the crowds were better over there as well.
We are to interested in short-term profit rather than long term development of the game.
It is an absolute disgrace that most of the tickets were gone before they were put to the public in Sydney!
I really do hate cricket Australia!

It’s an absolute disgrace that you can’t enjoy the fact that over here we can rub the Poms’ noses in it.
I do agree 2005 was a bloody great series, except for one small thing … Australia LOST.

It’s sort of OK to lose in India, but never OK to lose against THE POMS.
