Damir Dokic is claiming that his daughter Jelena has been kidnapped.
Damir Dokic claims his daughter Jelena Dokic has been kidnapped in Croatia by her former tennis coach and an ex-boyfriend.
Dokic, the former world number four, had been training in Germany with former Croatian tennis star Mikola Pilic before travelling to Zagreb in Croatia.
She has now gone missing, The Australian newspaper reports, and her father, an ethnic Serb, claims former coach Borna Biknic and his brother, Tino, a former boyfriend, are responsible.
Jack Marx of the SMH has a few thoughts on Damir Dokic.
And Andrea Jaeger another female child prodigy who had a similar history of parental problems before prematurely having to retire due to injury, has become some kind of nun.
FORMER US tennis star Andrea Jaeger has swapped the centre court for the cloister.
The 41-year-old, who at her peak was No. 2 in the world, has become an Anglican nun.Jaeger turned professional at 14 and was a Wimbledon finalist in 1983 at 18, losing to Martina Navratilova.
After retiring at 22, Jaeger dedicated her life to helping sick children by starting the Little Star Foundation in Aspen, Colorado.
In other odd news, Marat Safin is apparently staying off the hot Russian blondes and is training hard.
And Lleyton Hewitt, in an apparent bid to rebuild his shot career is no longer going to use the term C’mon! he will instead change to shouting Oi! after each winning shot. He and his coach Roger Rasheed feel that should be enough to keep his number one ranking on the front pages of New Idea.

My first reaction was that she’s finally managed to overcome his conditioning and leave to live her own life. How bizarre that he’s resorted to claims of kidnapping to explain her finally breaking free of his tyranny.
No wonder she practised hard as a kid. When she was running around the court she didn’t have to listen to him talk about anything except her footwork and followthrough.

It’s a very sad story that’s for sure, strangely it looks like there may be some substance to the story today, her German academy coach is saying that he didn’t turn up at the airport where he was supposed to meet her at a scheduled time. Weird. I hope she’s OK.
