Seven time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong has run his debut New York City marathon finishing in his stated goal of under three hours.
His final finishing time was 2:59:35.35, finishing 858th in a field of 38,000.
The Armstrong story is an amazing one and continues that course. As a former triathlete, I followed Armstrong’s teenage career as one of that tribe, an all too brief career where he beat many men twice his age and won many races before moving on to cycling full time, how long will it be before he moves back to the future for another challenge? The Hawaiian Ironman.
