2nd day of the Central Coast Cricket 7th Grade competition for me. My side (as I’m El Capitan) scored 85 first innings (a hard fought 1 for me) and the opposition is 1 for 42. We have some fighting to do to save this game (and bless their hearts, I have a team of younguns who do let impetuous youth rule their ways but they fight till the end).

Caught the end of the England-Windies one day match. What a corker of a finish!
In the 45th over, it looked like the Windies had them with a 41-run lead. But then Pietersen-Mahmood stole the game, Pietersen hitting a six in the 48th over to level the scores and Mahmood hitting the winning stroke with a four.
My heart was lost to man-of-the-match Chris Gayle earlier in the game though. On balance I think the Windies deserved to win, but Pietersen stole their thunder. Good game all round.

Don’t talk about cricket. We got done (Outright) and I’m still smarting about my first ball LBW.
