David Boon doesn’t say much. Which is why the Boony Doll was such a wierd promotion. 200,000 of them were given away with a beer that shall remain nameless, and they were designed to start speaking when certain words were used in the (insert television channel name here) cricket broadcast. According to the ABC’s Sydney drive time presenter Richard Glover, few of them spoke when spoken too. However, a wave of loquacity broke over the city in winter last year when, eerily, all the city’s Boony dolls started talking on the same day. Anyway, apparently Boony really is talking to promote men’s health in ‘Movember’.
Yet another meaningless anecdote, brought to you by the blogosphere.

Got to love the Boony Doll. The addition of Beefy and them doing stuff for things like the Melbourne Cup is just a brilliant idea.
Videos of Boony are available here: http://boony.mollyzine.com.
