As a dyed in the wool Windies fan I’m pretty happy right now, match payment forfeit or no match payment forfeit.
And how come it always seems that when the Aussies sledge (the biggest culprits) etc they don’t get the book thrown at them and the other countries do? Just askin’?

I’d say the opposite. The other teams get a free ride with sledging ’cause everyone knows only the Aussies sledge.
You do the crime you pay the fine!

And it is cold and wet here on the Central Coast. I’ve got to head out in an hour to do a pitch inspection (even if playing on synthetic we need to check for, say broken glass and syringes – no, that it what we found a few weeks ago).
Hopefully 7th grade will get underway.

It’s been cold and wet here all day too Shaun. Did any of your matches get going?

Heh! Bloody Aussie sledgers. Always putting the psychological hurt on our gentle West Indian souls.
Syringes? Seriously? All I have to worry about are motorists.
We were amazingly busy today in the shop despite the overcast day, loads of folks buying bikes and clothing for tomorrows cycle Sydney event, looks like the weather will be fine.
Cycling is getting huge. They’ve already hit 6000 registrations for the Sydney to Wooloongong community ride, it’ll be 10K easy for the start in two weeks.

We got some play in though washed out at around 4:00pm. And if you name is Keno, you are a wanker according to some chalk graffiti on the wicket.

Noel Gallagher’s sledged the Socceroos, and wants to kick Tim Cahil in the bollocks! [link]

Yesterday – some speed endurance and sprint training. Today, I woke up at just after 6 to get picked up before 8 for a 2 hour drive for about a four hour block of training. Drove back home for another hour or so of training. More training tomorrow…

Hey dj is that cycling, swimming or running? What are you training for, a four hour block followed by an hour is pretty big.
Sounds like my old Triathlon days, 4 hours cycling in the am followed by an hour running or swimming easy in the evening.

Hi Phil,
That was training for Touch. The first bit was a total of 3.5-4 hours, split into two blocks with further short breaks within those blocks. The second bit was because I had to train with another team that I’m playing for during the Summer. Training normally wouldn’t be that long but we have a three or four game series next Saturday and have had limited time to train together. There were a few of us who were in both teams doing the same thing.
In national or international tournaments, it is not unusual to play two to four games a day for three to four days in a row.

I’m in for the Sydney to the Gong ride. And it’s the morning after a very good friend of mine’s birthday.
If you see a skinny pasty-looking bloke in a white helmet throwing up by the side of the road, stop and say hello.
…
I used to walk across a cricket oval on the way back home from my high school. One day I kept hearing this hollow ‘clock’ sound, and just as I worked out what it was I saw the fat man with a driver and a bucket on the other side, and a golf ball slicing past my ear .
Fuck him, I’ve never run so fast.
